Just bought this guy yesterday for my Evo 13.5! Heard they can be a little picky when it comes to feeding, anyone have experience with possum wrasse?

Where would it fall in the phylogram?
It's already on it under the lanceolatus complex right near jordani; it just didn't yet have an official latin designation at that time. (need to update that and cyanogularis)

Possibly, I have not seen it yet though

Where would it fall in the phylogram?
I thought it was related to Jordani but just checked Hunter's chart and looks like it has been updated. Hmmm. @evolved ?

That’s the only wrasse I have at the moment. I love those varieties for sure. But my little guy has done a killer job on eradicating bugs for sure. ;):)

LOL! The EVIL six line Wrasse! They are good at getting rid of pests that's for sure. I had one several years ago. I had to take him back to the LFS. I had him for three years, when he matured he snapped and went after every fish in the tank. I couldn't add any new Wrasses eaither. Wouldn't go in a fish trap, do I had to take out most of my live rock, and do the two net method to catch him. Total PITA! I stay far away from any lined Wrasse! LOL! [emoji16]

He'll also do a great job eradicating new wrasse additions... :p
Ug. That stinks!
Things happen in these boxes of water where we try to manipulate nature just the way we want it. ;Woot But yeah.

Yeah I know how that goes! Lost my young male Jordani a few months back. Ate like a pig and one day he had notch on his head. Next day gone and never saw him again. Chalked it up to head trauma. Think your safe with tight lid but not always true.

How do y'all like my fish? He is a beauty. Actually not too mean. He is the undistributed king of the tank. He runs at the other wrasses but never a prolong chase, no injury and does not keep other fish from eating. He is in a 320 gal with a bunch of male flasher and fairy wrasses which helps I am sure.
