Saw this in my lfs today. Negrosensis?

Yep. Little female

Today I brought home a few new Fairy wrasses! One was from a store closing down, and I got the deal of the century. Labeled on the tank as "wrasse - $25".

Also picked up a gorgeous young male pintail for $60, and a female brunneus for $30 from one of my favorite LFS just down the road from the one that is closing.

That is a stunning male laboutei. Hopefully he does well for you, these guys, Katherine’s and lineatus tend to be hard as mature males IME.

This guy is only about 2" long and has been at this store for about 4 months. I've been watching him for a while, and figured he was gone. Went in today and he was still there. Originally listed for $180.

I also have a male Katherine's who initially didn't do very well, but took off after a lot of dewormings. Steadily gaining weight back and doing well.

A few quick pics from quarantine of the brunneus and the pintail. Labouts is still hiding under the rockwork when I get close to take a pic.

Everyone is already eating though!

It’s more a a metallic blue aura lol. Kind of glows as opposed to just a hue, if that makes sense.

Nah, just a 20 gallon with a HOB stuffed with filter floss and a sponge filter. A few pieces of rock repeatedly exposed to copper, and I throw in a handful or 2 of caulerpa since I always have a ton. It doesnt die from the cupramine or other meds.

These guys are currently in cupramine, prazi, rally pro, and getting food with metro.

For Halichoeres or other sand dwellers, I'll add an inch or so of sand.

QT question for you Wrasse people!

I just purchased my first wrasses. I have them in QT tank right now with a magnificent foxface. No meds or anything just yet, just wanting them to get settled in and make sure they are eating. I picked up a rhomboid and a clown fairy wrasse.

My qt setup currently is a 60 breeder with a few 3 inch pvc fittings, a couple powerheads, a marineland hob filter and a heater, no sand, an ammonia badge, and an old aquatic life reef edge led light strip.

What are your QT setups like for your wrasses and what’s your procedure, I wanted to do copper treatment, since being in with a foxface, I’ve read wrasses don’t handle copper as well and to take it slow. What’s your guys methods and procedures?

It makes sense. They are always a brownish color when I see them in person
Yours is ******

I do hybrid TTM, but do use sand. Just waste a lot of it lol.

When I did copper, would put sand in a Tupperware container and then just trash when done. That small amount doesn’t absorb too much copper to not be managed.

I reuse my sand. I've found that cupramine isn't absorbed nearly as much by rock or sand as other copper products

I use a little sand most times as clean tank reflections a lot of fish don’t settle in. Just cover bottom if needed. Lots of oxygen specially at night. More oxygen the better. Sand sleepers i hit hard with prazi and feed gc in lrs. I’ll treat them with metro. Copper not so worried so 14 days then display. Tangs or fish in qt with tangs I’m cautious but still like 14 days copper but will go to 30. Fairy wrasse and non sand sleepers same. I like to keep tangs separate and separate sand sleepers and no sand sleepers but rarely works out.
sand sleepers mostly flukes and tangs mostly ich/velvet. Fairy’s are in the middle. Also where I get fish from plays in to treatment

According to my LFS and what I’ve read, rhomboid and fairy wrasses don’t require sand. Is that true? And if that’s true, would they still benefit from having a little in there?
