Seems @NYAquatic has chaotis in stock. Just emailed them to see if I could pay for one, and have them hold it until I can drive the 5 hours to go pick it up(maybe a week or 2?).

Fingers crossed I may get my holy grail!

Our splendid leopard is eating nearly everything we give it now. Staying out for the full day now also. Can't believe we made this work. Hard to get a good picture though.

If we wanted other leopards such as a Fiji, can you add those with a splendid?

You have a 75 gallon right? In this case, and if you have enough pods as there will be competition and the depletion of the pods will occur more rapidly, it is doable. Your current wrasse may transition however with the addition of an other.

We combined our 75 and 40 into our 125 a year ago

Any opinions if an orange back or blue throat would be better Suited for not jumping? My orange back jumped this week and would like to replace with another orange back or blue throat which ever might not be as likely to jump. Guessing not much difference but not for sure.

There isn’t much difference between the two. It’s really just which individual fish decides they likes to jump more. The cyanogularis can be pretty aggressive towards other Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus, but at times so can the aurantidorsalis. Again whichever fish personality is more boisterous or easy going.

Question for all of you wrasse experts. What do you think about adding a red head Solon into a 90 gallon tank with an established pintail fairy. The pintail is currently one of the most mellow fish in the tank. The only other wrasse I have is a leopard and the pintail and the leopard don’t currently acknowledge each other. Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to offer.

The tank size would not be the problem. Aquamarinus gets super pushy once older. It may or may not bother the pintail at the moment but is sure to cause some sort of ruckus later on.

They will hold the fish for me! And I ordered and payed.

My holy grail will be coming home next week, probably drive out like Tuesday.

For me an Anampses or Macropharyngodon were my first though but I think right now I'd love to a have a full male Coris gaimard even with the chaos it'd bring. Being pretty boring maybe.

I was very appreciative when I got mine as well. After the he got adjusted, just an amazing fish to enjoy.

I still think photos overdo the Johnsoni… Chrysocehalus is the only one I think I definitely agree with ;)
