Down to just 3 wrasses!

Still bummed over loosing my negrosensis, and have yet to hear from Micheal at @NYAquatic on my choati. I will most certainly be replacing the negrosensis, it one of my wife's favorite fish.

You finally got yourself a good camera!!
Yup! Now just to get the other 3 wrasses - Guess which other wrasse I’ve already got a photo of, it’s one I don’t talk about often ;)

The leopard definitely needs some more love IMO :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Now that you say that, I haven’t actually spoken about him in a while, he’s still out and happy though! Loves life in the reef and still is submissive towards the iridis.

I continue to try get photos of her but she really refuses!

Think along the lines of red ;)

You don’t have any red wrasse. You do have some pink am I on the right line?
Hm… I do have two partly red wrasse, it’s a pairing I think I’ll always have ;)
The colour palette is a theme between most of my fish, they all show Atleast one of the 3 colours.

I thought I should ask here before I go on starting a whole thread about it and ask whether a pink streak of a yellow banded possum wrasse would be best for my 10 gallon with a blue stripe pipefish and a group of three Pictus blennies?
They are both about an inch long and it’s a hard decision.

I had a small yellow banded possum wrasse but she was super sensitive and died from unknown causes is the end, I feel like a pink streak would be better however I feel like either would be ok and if I see either for sale and a ship I would get it because availability isn’t great on either of these guys but I would still like to hear which would be the best of the two.

I'd probably go pink streak. Its a little shorter (if a bit stockier) and mine has been very tough so hopefully you'll hav fewer issues. Though what will you be feeding?

Great
Just worried the wrasse would outcompete the pipefish.

Thanks for the reply, what have been your isues?
With the pink streak? None it’s always been healthy and has never hidden like other peoples. Of course it does have a reputation for hiding constantly.

That shouldn't be a problem I don't think.

Sorry my brain is slow I thought you were saying you had issues but you meant you hope I had fewer issues than my previous possum wrasse :grinning-face-with-sweat: yeah I know I have expressed this before but I don't love the beginner label put on them because they have pretty special needs that I wasn't aware of when I got it. Edit: but I feel now that I know I can provide it with a happy and stable home it is a contender.

So I just got possum wrasses for my Frag system to combat pests. I too was under the impression that they are a hardy easy fish. What are the special needs for them. I will be culturing and dosing copepods.
