Much nicer looking. Hopefully will get another soon.

I miss the juvenile phase… Instead I have a 4.5” beast of a male.

Added a new black leopard wrasse to quarantine today, along with a few other new fish! So far the secretive wrasse (Pseudocheilinus evanidus) doesn't seem to mind!

Jealous of that multicolour, it was my dream dwarf Angel along with the potteri and still is. I’ve never pulled the trigger because my only tank I have room in is clam heaven.

Unfortunately it’s unlikely you’ll be able to sell a Halichoeres hortulanus to a hobbyist as they need large tanks (6-7’+) due to their large size and aggressive behaviour.
Your best bet is to trade it back to the LFS if I’m honest.
Yup tried that they don’t return trade or refund ANYTHING saltwater or marine!

This stunner was one of 2 beauties in the reefs at the Camden Aquarium.
All the cool stuff was upstairs in the kids section. Check out that hammer colony.

I believe that’s a bipartitus not a marisrubri?
Either way it is stunning!

They are fine with both. They won’t go after snails. Sometimes a Macropharyngodon may go after a shrimp but that would be a maybe and a tiny tiny shrimp. So CUC is safe.
Thanks. When I put the melanurus into my reef I thought my fire shrimp got eaten. When I rehomed him upstairs the shrimp came back out. Guess they were scared.

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but do actual stand alone digital cameras have the same "blue" issues that an iphone camera have?
Yes. And getting the right filter is difficult. I just edit the warmth in post.

LFS had a small pink streak last week that was still there when I stopped by yesterday.

I’m getting softer as I age, and I just couldn’t stand to see the fish there any longer and wanted to give it a home. Plus, I wanted to get my current pink streaked (Mr. Pink Streak) a little friend.

Added the fish at the end of the lights ramping down, and this morning I am happy to see they’ve found each other. Not the best photos (heavy fed the tank), but pretty cute to see:

That is very cute. Glad they are getting along and I’m glad you picked it up as it looks like it needs some TLC.

Well I now have a Sunday job at my LFS, went today and…
They had plenty of wrasses!
Just a few eye catching species were;
Paracheilinus lineopunctatus
Halichoeres iridis
Halichoeres argus
Halichoeres trispilus
Cirrhilabrus naokoae
Cirrhilabrus adornatus
Paracheilinus octotaenia
Cetoscarus bicolour

They were just a few but they were stunning specimens!
And obviously a couple photos are needed (Not my photos) :)

Tamarin wakes up every day around 3:30, stays up till around 9(my lights go out around 7). Haven't found her eating anything I feed the tank, but she's still fat and happily hunting. I've seen her slurp quite a few micro brittle stars, a couple medusa worms, a rather large bristle worm, and just pecking away at pods.

Looks like she'll be a keeper for a while.

Everyone else could care less she's even in the tank.

Mine started like that. It would stare at mysis shrimp for a while and eventually would munch down on some.
