I may have spoken in the heat of the moment. Just water blasted the shrimp and it is back on its nem. That Harlequin tusk looks like every invert in my tank would be doomed!

No, just (tiny) small snail. That wuss of a wrasse is too lazy eating out of my hand to hunt for anything that can move faster than snail pace..

I absolutely love my h. Iridis! Thank you to everyone on here for convincing me to wait till I could get this one. Truly an amazing fish to watch from its swimming to picking the pods off the rock (and hopefully some bristleworms). Makes me really want another halichoeres, which I might get the yellow coris just have to make sure they will play well with the other tank mates

Only time I've had a leopard do this was when she hit the bottom of the tank, and broke her jaw/beak. She just slept on her side, never dug into the sand like their supposed to, barely swimming, and eventually just wasted away from not being able to eat.

Mine acted just like what your describing after she broke her jaw/beak. Not saying that is your problem, just how mine acted after breaking her jaw/beak.

Ugh, my poor blue star has this exact issue. Not sure how the injury occurred, but I can see the damage on its mouth and can't get it to eat anything.

3-4 years (I’ve lost count) and still going strong with this big boy. I love watching them grow from tiny <1” juveniles :)

That's a photo of the undescribed flasher wrasse that was discovered in January 2023 in American Samoa.
But I agree this vendor doesn't have the best track record for ID'ing flasher wrasses... they were notorious for selling female C. africanus as female P. attenuatus.

For sure. I could even forgive them that but to misrepresent an obvious flasher wrasse as a fairy doesn't say much for their expertise!

Any idea what wrasse this is? I have in Qt at the moment and was told it’s a Bicolor Sunshine Fiji wrasse. Never heard or seen this thing. It’s about 4”
