Got a photo of the christmas?
Going off of the name being just “Christmas Qrasse” can hint to many wrasses. A photo will be best if you’re unsure which species you have.
I don't have the wrasse yet, as it's being quarantined, but the seller says it's a Halichoeres biocellatus. Do those get along with the yellow coris wrasse? What about an exquisite wrasse? Thanks!

I've kept all 3 of those wrasses together without any issue. Nice wrasse choices!

Thanks! I know I'm getting the Christmas wrasse, but I'm trying to decide between the exquisite and the Yellow coris. I have a 6 month old 85 gallon tank, so there's not a ton of life in there yet, but I'm also culturing copepods and phytoplankton. I'm leaning towards the Yellow because they eat pests, but does the Christmas too? I don't want to overgraze the tank.

IME biocellatus and chrysus are equal in their pest hunting abilities, you can't go wrong with either one.

Just wanted to share.

The African black tail mccosker is a beautiful variant. Very similar in colour to the Carpenteri but just enough to differentiate them.

If you had to pick between the yellow wrasse and the exquisite, which would you choose? Why? Thanks! :)
Personally I’d choose the Vanuatu exquisite as if you’re going Halichoeres already it just adds some variety and the yellow to the tank.

As promised, here’s the large guys! You can also see whose boss of the two Halichoeres, I don’t think anyone would’ve expected this. I’m also pretty certain my melanomarginatus deserves the name of dumbo, I mean look at the size of those fins!

The smaller two are going to be in a later post as lights in the nano aren’t on fully until later.

What a bruiser that Jade is
Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a nice fish before if I’m honest. And he hasn’t gone totally dull and as seen in the photo managed to keep some of that beautiful green on him. Really could be a show piece fish if I didn’t have the foxface taking that name (The poor £120 Melanospilos Angel is being beaten by both a £20 wrasse and a £50 Fox).
