I mean its ugly but it does have a great pattern and fins.... No it's ugly, very ugly but I'd still put it in a tank.

Anyone have experience with Cirrhilabrus rubeus, Ruby Longfin Fairy Wrasse? Any reason why it is recommended for min 50 gallons while most other fairy wrasses are recommended min 90 gal? Also curious why it is listed cheaper than other wrasses--I think it looks amazing.

Cirrhilabrus rubeus is labelled as cheaper than other wrasses because it’s more common. Other Wrasses you’ll find at the high double to triple digits will be rarer and much less commonly brought up into the hobby.
As for the tank size, Rubeus is generally smaller and more peaceful so it really doesn’t need a huge tank unlike some others do from that complex (e.g. C. naokoae).

I’d still argue that has a pretty pattern if a very dumb face. Still better then no pattern and a dumb face.
