The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

Yep haha! I just usually for forgiveness, not for permission. Usually accompanied by me standing in the kitchen holding some creature in a half wet bag up in the air saying “come on, how could I possibly leave this special little creature to be neglected in that place, it needs a loving home.”

Results can vary quite dramatically lol
I try to get her to come with and choose her own! She normally chooses some of the most expensive ones so it’s a win win last time it was a tiger torch . I believe the quote you’re looking for is the one I made my own throughout high school and life, “It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission”. As well as, “If you’re not cheating you’re not trying hard enough”. Ha the last one is a bit more of a high school joke. The empathy trick is one I haven’t tried yet, thanks for the idea!

3pm. Vivien went to sleep. New guy (girl) not ready to burn the midnight oil.

I am like a kid on Christmas Eve, waiting on delivery tomorrow of Radiant...
I’m the same haha.
Definitely excited to see those Vivienne’s on Sunday!

The real vote;
How aggressive will this boy be?
I’m voting incredibly high.

Planning on getting a pair for Xmas. Did yours come together as two females or were they already a pair?

Was meant to get the M. bipartitis on Wednesday, but called Dr. Reef on Tuesday and they said they would be ready next week. So the wait continues! Which is OK. I am rearranging sand bed corals to make some nice sleeping spaces :~)

I got mine as a trio of 3 juveniles. The best thing you can do is get Atleast 2 females if not juveniles :)

Did one die? You never had any aggression between them? Thanks!

The two I have now don’t really care about eachother and seem to love breeding. The third withered away and I’m not really sure if it was aggression or not as she didn’t do too well from the start.

I've got a question for you wrasse experts. I have a few leopards. One Choati, one Bipartitus, one Vivien's, one Meleagris, and one Moyer's. All are female except the Meleagris, which transitioned a few months ago. I'm thinking of ordering another Pre-QTed Choati, which I think is a male. What are the odds there is any aggression?

There’s high odds of aggression especially between the current Choati. How big is your tank?
We need a bit more info for an in-depth answer :)
