Oh that makes sense, he's been in qt three weeks, and on the floor I mean he went nuts and jumped on me. That's a nice blue flasher, I should pick one up; my old one was so beatiful! Are there any other fish in the tank with him? Some fish get very stressed w/o other fish around. In the wild, if no fish are out and about, it is usually a sign that there is a predator nearby. He doesn't know there is not a predator in the tank.
They're pretty delicate shippers and those which arrive alive are often in poor shape. If they're established on a prepared diet, they can fair well, but only in very peaceful tanks. They can get intimidated rather easily. So in short, not many people "do" it right, if they find one for sale alive. Is there a reason why I never see any types of the pencil wrasses owned by anyone? Just curious, there are some pretty ones.
OK thanks for the info. I thought it was more of a finicky feeder issue. TJ is eatbreakfast right? They're pretty delicate shippers and those which arrive alive are often in poor shape.
