The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

Exquisitus is usually a pretty mellow fairy wrasse, however it is also very closely related to scott's fairies, so aggression can be worse among closely related species.

If the aggression is only chasing a few times a day and isn't relentless, then I wouldn't be overly concerned.

A china wrasse will mix fine with those species.
Yea great point! I don't worry about a little chasing here and there with no injury to the fish....but when it is relentless....it is time to remove one or the other....in my tank I always remove the agressive one....

Well my crescent tails did not come but I got two of the biggest red margins I have ever seen plus got a pair of Katherines in qt now hopping all goes well with them.

@evolved @eatbreakfast.
How can I tell M/F diamond tail part ?
Easy; females do not have the diamond shaped tail and have 2 ocelli, one at the middle of the dorsal and the other at the base of the caudal.
I really need to save a good photo of one off of DD; there's been some good examples there in the past and I'm having a hard time finding a good photo example, but here's a preserved specimen to give you the idea:

Got a male Isoceles from my LFS yesterday. I've been leaning on a male flame for a while, but the vibrant color contrasts on this fish made me change my plans.

Maybe because ive never seen one in person, but these bad boys are beautiful.
