So my LFS finally got my Potters Wrasse in today...he is about 3 inches....i usually leave a new Leopard at the LFS for a week or so to start eatting and too settle down after shipping....just curious what do you guys do when your LFS gets your new fish in?? [emoji16]

If I have them order a fish for me usually show up when the fish does and just grab the bag and take it home. That way it lessens the amount of transfers and acclimation After shipping.

I had a thriving population of several species of snails in my tank that are full grown at 1/4 to 1/2 inch. This Harlequin Tusk decimated them in a few weeks. Stomatelle, strombus, baby trocus, and several unnamed species. All gone.
He did not bother any small fishes or cleaner shrimp.
I count all my small fishes every time I return from vacation. He was fine. Did not eat any of my small fishes

They vary in personality from fish to fish greatly. Some can be trusted with small fish, others can't. I've had to remove a few due to aggression from tankmates, whereas others where model citizens.

You must mean "...due to aggression toward tankmates,....". If there is conflict in the tank, the HT is not the fish I am worry about being on the receiving end of the problem.
I only keep a few HT in my years as keeping aquarium, I have not encounter a problem one yet. All have been long live. I do worry about small fish that may become their prey. However, I only lost fish to him only during the first few seconds when the new fish or shrimp been release into the tank. Fortunately they are early sleeper. They can be reliably expect to go to sleep early and I just make sure I add fish very late in the evening just right before night time.
This fish will be the very last fish I add into my DT once all other fish are in. My beautiful HT pictured above died in the Harvey disaster. This HT, and my huge T. gigas clam are the two animals people always commented on when they see my tank.

You're right I meant aggressive to tankmates. Particularly aggressive to other labrids.

Thanks! Yea my LFS where I buy all my Leopards from put me on the list back in February!!! They kept trying every week but there were non available. Finally they spotted this one and the owner snagged him for me!!! They told me today they are having trouble getting a lot of Hawaii species in....I am keeping my fingers crossed for you to get one soon!! [emoji16]

Well I will be a kid in a candy store on Thursday morning as I will be getting 2 boxes (1 from LA and 1 from fishybusiness) with wrasses in them. Couldnt pass up the opportunity to get them all at the same time. They will all be females but with time I hope they turn out to be stunning males. Here is my list to arrive on Thursday:

From Liveaquaria:
Lineautus Wrasse (female)
Labouti (was labeled as transitioning)
Rhomboid (female)

From Fishybusiness:
Flame (female)
Pintail (female)

They will be going into my 240 gallon display. I will post pics of them once they arrive.

Well UPS has arrived and the 3 wrasses from LA arrived well and look very good. I will be going home at lunch to get these acclimated and into their new home. The other wrasses from Fishybusiness were not sent due to flame wrasse not doing well prior to shipping. will let you all know how they settle in.

Here they are in the acclimation box hanging out together. Small females and a small transitional Male. I am very happy with the size of these fish as I plan on adding a few more wrasse in the near future and hopefully these don't turn into dominat jerks too quickly.

The one Flasher wrasse that I have the most problem with is my Blue Flasher. He would not eat and become emaciated with a huge head and scrawny body. Start to loose all his fins. I have to nurse him in my 28 gal cube QT away from other wrasses. When he start to eat again and gain weight i finally release him into DT. He is eating well and gain weight. Fins start to grow out. He is doing well now although still show signs of his ordeal. Tail fin still not have the trailers bot growing. Color is better and start to flash at other wrasses. Hope he will eventually completely recover.

Lennardi: Been comtemplating on getting a lennardi. The thought of it being delicate scares me since it is pricey. I currently have sevral wrasses, including a white tail tamarin and black tamarin. Anyone here has experience with them? How good is the survival rate?
