How big a tank?

I don't think it would be issue if your tank is big enough. I would use box to acclimate them. I had a Lineatus and Rhomboid in 20L QT for about 2 mos together with no issues before the Rhomaboid succumbed to internal parasites I could not kill.

4ft 350l. Dont want to push my luck but is a stunning looking fish. Have a feeling the rhomboid would takeissue as they are quite similar

Rhomboid would take issue with which one? What fish are currently in the tank?

Rhomboid with the lineatus.

So have a pair of rhomboid. The jordani. Pintail, blackcap gramma and clowns.

Other may differ but I don't see it being an issue. Uuse an acclimation box for a few days to check for any aggression. Your issue over time may be the two rhomboids.

I had to evict my old Pintail yesterday, because I found this one at my LFS.

As soon as I got inside the store, I saw it on the corner of my eye. It looked like it was glowing or something. LOL

OrianN.....how are your China Wrasses doing? I finally decided to try one again. I got him on Monday, did a drip acclimation and put him straight into my DT. Was eatting Mysis at the LFS. Eats Mysis from day one for me. Keeping my fingers crossed this time!

Thanks!! It is from years ago. It was a very nice Maldives variant. Just luck of the draw from Live Aquaria.

Has anybody who has had a yellowtail tamarin wrasse witness it pecking at a snail on the rocks to make it fall off and eat it if it lands upside down? The tamarin isn't the one who usually kills them. My orange back fairy wrasse goes to town if he sees a snail upside down. I've even witnessed my orange back try to get a hermit. I would get rid of the tamarin if she wasn't so gorgeous. I thought fairies were pretty invert safe aswell.

Finally, I've am able to join the club. This boy just finished QT and two days in the acclimation box.

Or rather, I thought the two days in the acclimation box was enough, but after lowering and opening it, I saw a bit too much interest to my liking, from the last fish I'd have expected it from, my katherinae. Literally my most docile fish. So I covered the acclimation box again.

I'm in two minds now if I should leave the acclimation box where it is, right in the Katherine's territory and hope that spending more time together will smooth things out. Or move the box elsewhere, as I find new fish usually set up territory in the same area I had their acclimation box, at least for the first few week, and then hopefully being on the other side of my 5ft tank would smooth things out.

I agree, I'll have to show a bit of restraint and patience here.

I almost let him out, the box was open for him to swim out, he just hadn't realised it yet.

Luckily I saw a post, by I think TJ, some time ago, about not using a transparent bottom acclimation box. This is the first time I've cut a piece of black plastic to put into the bottom of the box, and this fish is a lot less anxious to get out compared to previous ones. So I'm quite comfortable going another couple of days.

The bottom is however why I think I didn't see much interaction until I lowered the box. With the box at the water's surface I don't think there was line of sight between them. I've put the lid on the box and lowered it just below midway down now, so seeing much more interest from the rest of the bunch.
