When the lights were on today all the polyps were out. Good looking ten dollar frag.

My manderin has gained a ton of weight and also eats mysis like a clown fish!

Naturally he hid in a hole as soon as he moved.

I covered it with a rock to make him move out.

Now he seems to want to be a cave dweller.

After feeding him some shrimp he seems more comfortable so I'm hoping he moves out. He is stretching to the light. He will get tired of that and come out soon.

I used some cheap topfin filter foam and protected him against my power heads.

All in all this tank has been a smooth awesome setup. It helps having learned alot of things the hard way from past tanks. Thanks for all the input and encouragement I have received.

Very nice so far. I have the exact same tank with the APS stand. Can’t wait to see where you go with this. I had the same light and switched to the Hydra 26 HD made a huge difference. I have an extra brand new IM ghost skimmer for this tank if you want it I can sell it to you for $120. They are $200 regular price.

Thanks! I will think about the skimmer. I do 25 percent water changes every two weeks and haven't noticed any nitrates yet. I may get one though.

The bio isn't keeping up like I thought. Notable ammonia and Nitrite. The ammonia is gone after day three but 1.0ppm Nitrite is still there. I have changed 5 gallons of water the last two nights. Will test again tonight. Nitrates are around 10ppm

Did you make your own water to start?
