Exactly. The high-end, sensitive acros are all very well, which leads me to believe it was a pathogenic issue.

the pond only ever has had the halides.
The tank had halides with hydra64s around them (led, halide, led, halide, led). But i turned the mh off when all the good stuff died after hurricane Ian(10/22).

Strips and T5s just have better coverage and reduce shadow better then pucks. Unless you have a ton of pucks

Any change to the previous array of t5s is a downgrade in coverage, period.(imo)
It was a shaded colony, maybe reducing coverage also played a role? Unlikely, but as a mh guy I have to wonder if quality/ coverage of light has something to do with it. Idk how long it has been going on or anything more than what was posted here...

you made changes, even if it is the light. Some coral will accept it. While some may get stressed prone to sickness and doesn't get the chance to adapt.

Nah. It’s not from the light. I’ve had the LED for several months and the corals have been fine with it. The par and spectrum were similar.

It happened IMO because one of the tabling acros kept growing and completely shading the one below it.

Eliminating shade sucks, You have to have a lot of lights everywhere. At least you don't have a bubble tip anemone wages war on certain coral.
