They may be hardier because green urchins are cold water animals (they're found from Russia/Alaska down to the Puget Sound) while the fire urchins are tropical.The funny thing is I used to have a pair of them in my 25-gallon (green and blue 'lighting'), but I didn't realize they were venomous at the time (oops!) I'd like another 2-3 at some point as they seem to be hardier than green urchins.
