So it helps to read the directions....xlm has to be added multiple times. Like daily. Good thing I caught that .
Side project new work station. Cabinets were free just have to find a top and some knobs. Love me some more storage. They were pretty grimy but they cleaned up nice. They are Kraftsmaid too so pretty solid and in good shape.

Built the stand that will be used for the current tank when it gets transferred to the basement. Going to use it as a frag tank unless I am able to sell it first. The existing stand will be moved over to the freshwater 55g tank.
Tired need nap.

Not an initial part of the plan but the work station is done.

New rocks are still cycling and have been moved to one of the brute trash cans. Today is setting up the rubbermaid as a temp holding tank. And more water. Transfer starts Wednesday. Tank gets moved Friday. Then hopefully this circus is over and I can enjoy the fruits of all this work.

Temporary Holding tank done its probably got about 50g in it now.
1 of the Brutes has the cycling rock the other salt h2o. Then there is a 55 drum with salt and another 55 with rodi.
Got the confirmation from the aquarium movers we are a go for Friday. Good thing or I would have hunted them down.
I may be regretting my decision to purchase so many corals these past few weekends but who knows I may be a genius.
Orders coming in from Riptide, Tsa and zoanthids.com on 4/29 then another order from sbb at a time to be determined. Good thing is I shouldn't have a cycle to worry about. Using live rock, live sand and some of the existing live rock from the 65 should alleviate that. Bus jic I have some biospira to throw in too.
Tear down to commence in t minus 24 hrs.

I was up late thinking about the basement layout. I think we will be moving the mixing station over to the left and setting up the frag tank in the middle. The sump will stay on the right. That way if I ever need or want to plumb the frag tank into the main system I can and it's closer to the outlets I have available.

We use the spa flex here around here for fish tanks.
I'm doing the same but planning around 4/1.
4/20 is a good starting date. Lol.
Your ahead of me. Looks like all broken down?
I want to get an electrician over to my house one day for my fish tank needs. Love it. Right on. Good job. Your doing it right.

Hi Devin! Thanks for the encouragement. Tear down starts this evening. Not much I can do by myself so I have someone coming over tomorrow and Friday afternoon to help with all the lifting.
We just need to empty and transfer existing fish and coral to the temp tank, move existing stand and tank (anywhere that's out of the way) drill new/bigger holes in the floor for the plumbing and move the new stand over.
Then the big guns come over Friday to lift tank onto stand.
Then it's simply running the plumbing and set up (sand, scape, lights) and trans stock back into new home.
Piece of cake.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I saw you in the SBB live sale last weekend. Can’t wait to see how this one turns out. I’ll be following along.
Thanks! I can't wait to get it up and running. That sale was amazing.

Here is my mini tank as well. It's a bit dirty atm. Chapstick for size.

Well documented and put together build so far. You have far more patients than me as I’m bad about putting the buggy before the horse some times. Will be taking some notes as I plan my 180g build

OK so I think I have made enough water. Who am I kidding it's not enough. But all of my containers are full so there is that. Changed all the filters in the rodi. I knew they were coming due anyway and that's one last thing I need to worry about.
Here is where we are now.
20220420_135428.jpg

Here I the list for the next few days.
20220420_140207.jpg

I also have all the plumbing laid out. Just need the measurements finalized (because I suck at the plumbing part) by my other who has volunteered to help me. Bless his heart.
Feeling hopefully optimistic that I will not flood the house, start an electrical fire, or kill anything (including previously mentioned other). I wholly expect to loose my sanity and have a mini breakdown at some point in this whole process though.

Took 8 hrs by myself. Need 2 holes drilled in the floor, the new stand moved over, the old stand and tank moved, the new sump put in place and the plumbing dry fit. Tomorrow is another day.

Edit. New stand is in place. Old tank is downstairs and new sump in place.

The old stand will be the fw new stand so it will be moved.

Today is the day. I won't go into detail but things with the aquarium service "company" didn't go as planned so we have plan B in place and if necessary plan C.

Always good to have a plan, a backup plan, and a backup to the backup plan.

I think that's a part of most women's DNA. Plan for everything. That's why they give us purses.
