This is it. My last build thread

Just a progress video. I'm swapping out 3 noops for 2 photon 32s coming off the reefer 300. Only one up for now untill I finish moving out of the 300. I'm dabbling with some SPS in the higher N and P levels of the 330 to see how they do.

PS. Just want to mention there's nothing wrong with the noops. The SPS I'm moving in were kept under the photons and I figure if I can mimic the light they were under it will be one less thing to cause them stress.

Looks great! Maybe if the SPS start growing well it will lower your N and P naturally 😊

Its heeere! Mariner MP100 to replace the ailing reefer 300.

I'm probably going to make the Mariner a new build thread but since we can only have one badge I'll link that one once I get things rolling.
The tank this thread focuses on is cruising along nicely so there really isn't a lot to update. N and P are still high but I'm letting it roll. If things start looking bad I'll reevaluate. I'll also update if anything major happens good or bad. Till then I'm just sitting back enjoying the view.

Love your tanks and also your tractor. I got my 230 into the garage the same way, with my tractor.

I wish I had bought one 30 years ago. I even use it as an adjustable work bench with a sheet of plywood on the forks. It's probably one of the best investments I've made.

Same here. I use that thing all the time for all kinds of stuff as well. Outside of the forks and bucket, my favorite (or most useful) attachment I have is the chipper. Makes quick work of limbing up trees or even when the wife and I are cleaning up the garden to get rid of all the clippings.

I'm just gonna tag the mp100 on here instead if starting a new thread. Nothing really to report on the 330 except NO3 has reached a new high of 56.8 and PO4 is flashing 0.9 so I added 12 TBS if rowaphos in a reactor which usually gets me down to 0.7 and one more time gets me to 0.4 which I'm fine with. I find running GFO a pita so I'm not even considering trying to run it as a constant maintenance thing. Nothing seems to mind the swings. I won't run lanthanum because I'm not willing to take the risk with my tangs. Its Just a number anyway right?

I moved into the Mariner last night. I didn't get the exact look I was thinking about but I think I managed a good balance between coral and fish habitat. The 6 line and damsel have spots already and there's places for the 2 tangs. They are currently in discussions about who gets which place after I added a new place today. The 2 spot wants them all but the yellow is saying nay nay. Nothing vicious just tail wrestling.
I had to bust up some rock and created some frags but I was expecting that.

Out with the old

In with the new. I'm really digging the peninsula view. My Gal even commented on how nice it is being able to see so much of the tank. My others are in corners so really only have 2 viewing angles. Tangs are taking advantage of the long swim lanes. I need to tidy up the tiles and pieces on the bottom yet.

The remains. I've decided I'd like to see how long the tank will hold water. The seam issues I have are not typical RS failures where they just let loose. It's all set up to grow coral so I'm going to move it to the basement and replace my 40g observation tank. I have a lot of frags from moving so it can be my coral bank/observation/grow out/ overflow tank. It will be much better than the 40g running a hob. Plus I want to keep the GSP wall 🤭
