One of my favorite online and brick and mortar LFS is shutting down. If anyone is looking for corals, Zach is a great guy. Sad to see them shut it down.

I'm hoping we don't see more of this but im not too optimistic. My go to SW only lfs is struggling but fortunately he has a decent amount of service accounts to keep some revenue coming in but the last time I spoke with him he wasn't too up beat

My LFS does'nt seem in great shape also. I think Aquarium Service is where the bulk of the revenue comes from. With the tariff and economic uncertainty, opening an LFS is a gamble.

My LFS is Blue Earth Aquariums. Very friendly people. I would be sad if they went out of business. The rest of the places around here really don't have much to offer.

Petosky is a beautiful town. I spend a lot of time in that area in the summer. I would not want to try to run a reef business there, though. Maybe in TC.

I don’t know how importers are gonna survive with the tariffs coming. And that’s livestock. Imagine if we need to buy new pumps or lights? Or salt? The European salts are gonna be expensive for water changes.

It shouldn’t be too crazy to hang in there. Buy deals when you can. Grow frags. Trade. Befriend folks here…. European salt will be cheaper than Asian products. We’ll see. If anything Florida and Hawaii I’m sure will see a boom in demand from our hobby.
