I'm setting up a new tank 84x30x24 and am considering adding a biota regal Angel as the only new addition.I have no experience with Angels except dwarfs. What are your thoughts on this area in my sump as a grow out tank? About 18g volume full of mature live rock with some sponge and bunch of little critters. The tank on the sump is mature 8 years old. I figure it's probably way better than a sterile tank with PVC. I have the ability to feed multiple times a day and extra food will Just flow over the baffle into the overflow chamber and up to the display. Flow is from a manifold on the return and can be turned down as low as needed. I think it's a good idea but since I have not kept Angels I want to make sure I'm not missing something. I would remove the mesh bags of media so no fins get snagged on them. Thoughts?

I think it would be a perfect place for it. Consider adding a small nonaggressive fish in it also, like a small active clown.
I have a 40 gal QT reef/frag tank that I will put a pair of Regal angels in once I get them from Biota. Right now, this is in use for my CBB. Once I trained my CBB to eat aiptasia and move her over to DT, I will consider and order two Regal angels from Biota

Please keep us update if you decided to do this. When I order mine, I will post a thread on my venture.
