After I developed ICH in my display I was lucky enough to capture ALL fish and begin copper treatment the next day. This began august 9th. I ordered KickIch and started treating the display with no fish in it on the 16th. Tomorrow the 28th the kick ich will be on the final dose than I’m going to do a 20% water change. Turn on the UV and add carbon back and my reactor. My 2 fish in the QT looks great. They have been clean for over a week eating good. When will I be safe to add them back to my display tank? Thank you

Copper treatment on fish should last 30 days for full effectiveness.
Furthermore, to properly eradicate ich from the display requires a fishless period of at least 60 days. Most of the reef safe ich meds are not effective against ich, and therefore won’t do anything to speed up the fallow.

Does the kick ich not treat the free floating and column?

I have yet to use reef-safe ich medication and I tried as a new. The only thing that worked for me was a fallow period of 76 days, and QT for everything new I am planning on putting in my tank.
