Still just finding the one. He's pretty big though. Will they fight and kill each other? It's a 4ft tank with a fair amount of rock. Kinda want to get another one in there, but if the big one will just kill any newbies, seems fruitless.

In a 4 foot tank they’d probably be indifferent to each other, as long as you don’t have too many. I’d leave it to the one though, they are pretty efficient on their own.

2nded on it could be a molt. Get your flashlight out in the evenings and see if you can spot em! We all practiced this as children with where’s Waldo!
Good advice to check with a flashlight late at night. I did this exact thing last night, concerned after not seeing either of my 2 emeralds in weeks. Sure enough one of them was on top of the rock scavenging in the dark.
