Throwing your socks in the laundry.

Does anyone throw there socks in the laundry? Filter socks that is. I have washed towels that I use in and around my tank with bleach and water and never had any issues. Can filter socks be washed in the same matter bleach and water and air dried?

Yes.. That's all I do. Throw them in the washer and add bleach only, then rinse twice and air dry. Any leftover bleach will evaporate.

+1. I usually double rinse the socks just to make sure I get the bleach out. Dont know if it makes any difference but it makes me feel better. Then air dry and good to go.

I just throw the filter socks in without bleach....

I put the socks in with bleach, add the "extra rinse" on the washer, and then tumble them dry in the dryer. I put my "fish towels" in the same load.

Ya I wash mine with bleach and then air dry. Works great

i used to hand wash mine when i used them...that the reason i quit using them...i didn't think they would hold up in the washing machine
