Time for a change...

Well I hate to do this but my 2 skimmers will be replace by my new MTC HSA 1000 with IWaki55. I am happy with both of my skimmers on my 180g but summer is on the way so I have to cut down some heat on my tank and also save some electric bills.I saw this beast on my friends tank and its really pulling a lot of stuff and now he is taking a break from the hobby and I get the chance to buy it:)..I just hope it will do the job for me as I am heavily feeding my tank and want to add 3-4 more fish. Here is the pics of my 2 skimmers and my new MTC

You are going to love that skimmer. I used to have one. The sound of the air being sucked in by the beckett is impressive!!! I sounds like a jet engine.

Another really nice feature of that skimmer is when the collection cup is full the skimmer can no longer draw any air and effectivly shuts down. No overflows!!

Thanks Stoney..yeah I saw it from my friend and its really doing a good job... Stoney what are you running now?.....

Is there any cons on this skimmer when you used it?

As promise I finished hooking this up 1am this morning and let it run with the gate valve all the way open .. at 7am before I got to work I turn on the Injectors and wow I got home at 7:30 and look downstairs and this thing is skimming really good already... I Thought I have to tweak it for days but I am wrong .. well here is the pic of the MTC HSA 1000 in action 13hrs
