My new 2in (maybe a bit smaller) hippo tang has decided to wedge himself in my stylophora colony and use that as his safe/ nighttime refuge. I know it’s not an aggressive coral and I’ve never seen a coral (in my tank at least) harm a fish but is that ok? Just concerned about his slime coat against that thing.

They sleep/live in the branches of stony coral like stylos, pocillopora and acropora in their natural habitat. Especially as juveniles. So he’s making himself at home😉

Thank you for that gem of info makes me feel good about him having some genuine natural habitat.
