Tiny tiny little bugs around my Bazooka frag

Today I looked very closely at my Bazooka Joe frag, and I notice tiny little bugs crawling around on the disc that the frag is on. There is no way I could get a pic of them, because I don't have a good camera. Any idea of what they could be? Could they be harmful at all? Also... I was just wondering, when snails and hermits crawl near the frag and their shells rub up against the frag, does this harm it at all? Thank You everyone for any help ahead of time.

As long as it looks ok you should be fine. My good buddy ktar taught me that everyday you inspect every coral. If you see anything out of wack or recedding or whatever dose intercepter. One time my flame thrower started to look different and I waited to dose and ended up losing it

They were like clear/brownish color... the look like the could have been crawling mite looking things... the only reason I could see them was because the disc the frag is on is completely clean white. They are TINY though

interceptor is a drug for dog that prevents heartworms and other internal parasites. In tanks it kills all the bad bugs like red bugs and whatever.

Witout pics its hard to tell, I have never heard of a parasite that targets chalices but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I would tend to agrre with copepods and amphipods. Intercepter is not a cure all but it does kill some parasites, lugols dips and supplementation is also a good approach, as is melafix dips for lps. Bightwell makes a product called restore that I have been using with great success as well.
Bottom line is--- if its not broken....don't fix it.

I only see pods for about 10 seconds after lights on. I see them as they scurry for hiding places. And I never see them in the display tank because the hermit crabs eat them. I only see pods in the refugium.

I see pods in my display tank all the time and I have lots of hermit crabs in my tank.

I have seen a specific type of pods called sand skater on the bottom of my chalice disks that are on the sand bed. sphaeromatid isopods

Hmmm. Mine are in a 55 gallon remote refugium. There are no fish in there, and there never were. The pods are NEVER out when the lights are on. They hide within seconds of the lights coming on.
