I am working on a 200 bow front, trying to set the aquascape... Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what I have come up with so far. In the pictures, cardboard is bottom size and blue tape is up to water line with overflows on the side........Thanks for any input

As a general note about composition, I think the whole rule of thirds thing is a little overblown. It is an easy way for someone to come in and following a rule to create something that looks good. Just don't shackle yourself to it. Once you get a feel for creating a scape, you need not worry about it, there are so many more elements to composition and nothing that says a big pile in the middle can't look good, you just want to make sure it says something.

I used this thread as inspiration for my build.
- Rule of thirds
- Depth, but you can't tell so well from the photo below
- Rock bleachers

Also going to follow the colour wheel principles with secondary colours
- main feature with branch purple, orange, green
- rear arch red, blue, yellow

Wonderful write up. I will be setting up my new 300DD at the end of the week. I will incorporate this advice and start a new build thread.
