Toadstool not opening and algae building up.

Hi,

3 weeks ago I acquired a toadstool. About an hour after being in the tank it opened up and looked great. It continued to open up for a couple more days and then it closed up and started to shed! 3 weeks on and it still has not opened up and is now getting a build up of algae on the top. It has moderate flow and my daily tests are perfectly in range. I have other softies and lps that are all thriving and doing great. Its mid way up in the tank. Is it just a case of waiting for it to shed again and adjust it's self or is there something I am doing to annoy it.

I would try rubbing the top of it to see if you can pull some of the shedding tissue off, sometimes this will help them reopen.

Okay I shall try this. Just want the bloody thing to open up now ha!
