Today's Total Solar Eclipse

[AydenLincoln]

Sigh! I’m so mad at my Mom too. She bought a ton of glasses and forgot to leave me a pair. Ugh.

[PharmrJohn]

What amazes me about an eclipse is that conditions need to be PERFECT in a planetary system. And I mean perfect. It's taken for granted here. The odds are literally astronomical that we live on a planet that supports such an event.

It's over...

Wow!

[rhitee93]

I have to say that was cooler than I expected. Much different than the high percentage partials I've seen.

[exnisstech]

My Gal called me a Debbie downer so I had to go out to keep the piece. It was pretty cool and now I can say I saw it but the whole experience was underwhelming

Looks like a rainy day here in Connecticut
The clouds came in a little bit where the sun is.

[braaap]

Ohhhhhhh ahhhhhhh

[Sisterlimonpot]

Here in AZ we got 64% coverage. Unfortunately this is at the peak for us.

[d2mini]

I couldn't even tell you were the sun was in the sky it was so cloudy today.
Then right at the end of peak coverage for our area the clouds finally broke.
Best shot I could get...

My attempt with a welding helmet looks cool but my phone didn't pick it up

[Waters]

Fortunately we were right in the path...got a couple of good pics.......

[Reefer Matt]

Of course I made a vid, best I could do at work…

[Reefing102]

I couldn’t capture the ring during totality

[Reefing102]

Just went through, apparently I was in a 99% zone (I’m at work). But I went through my video and did capture something

[kevgib67]

100% here in Cleveland.

[Leezyworld87]

From Southern Illinois….

[Sharkbait19]

90% or so by me. Cloud cover waited until it peaked to really show up, so at least I got to see that part. It did make photos a lot easier.

[CMMorgan]

I just think it is cool that something out there can make so many people from different backgrounds and beliefs take a collective breath to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Thank you to all who were able to share photos.

[Üter]

best I could do using eclipse glasses.
