They are all Ctenochaetus genus, thus 'bristletooth' tangs ...... you knew that right! They will probably get along if you have enough space.

Both being bristletooths, there’s no way to know. They can be very aggressive especially to their own kind or to others, and really depends on size, personality, when introduced, etc. There’s no black and white with them. A well-established bristletooth will want to kill anything that eats what it eats.

Thank you! So I guess it’s a 50/50 shot. Ugh. I may try.

Ok open to suggestions for a smaller tang!

It’s a 75 gallon so I know their are not many options.
Currently stocked with two clowns one flame fin and a mandarin

I’m not one of those people to say you must keep tangs in mega tanks. But as long as they get along and have enough to graze on, they’ll be fine... as long as they don’t fight. Tangs have a mind of their own and it’s hard to judge whether they’ll play nice or not in any size tank. I only have 2 in a 130g. The bristletooth fights constantly with my blenny. But gets along with my clown tang. But the much smaller clown tang goes after the foxface. Overall they’re peaceful but pick their own battles.

Hello everyone. Just saw the post as I was searching. Just got a whitetail, tomini, achilles, PB into my tank from my LFS. The tank is a 300 G. All seem to be doing ok, just the PB chases the Achilles most of the day, have not seen any real fights yet. Just saying since the previous ??.

300 gallons is probably big enough to allow them to have their own territories without much issue. In a 90-120 gallon tank though, two bristletooth tangs is not a good idea.
