Torch coral pods?

I was feeding my tank last night and noticed tiny crustaceans crawling on a few of my torches. They look like some type of pod. They are so small that I couldn’t get a clear picture of them. Anybody have issues with pod-like critters crawling on torches? Most of my torches do not fully extend, even in high or low light or flow. Maybe this is why?

When I had to run my tank fallow for a long period (due to Ich breakout) the Pods went crazy. It was like an ant farm in my display. My torches hated it. They were living and crawling all over the torches. A couple of my high end Torches didn't make it as they were ticked off way too much with the Pods crawling all over them. Once all my fish went back into the display, the Pods numbers decreased substantially and now I don't see any running around. I do have a couple of Wrasse's and I think they took care of the larger Pods. The torches are all happy now.
Do you have enough fish in the tank that can eat some of these Pods?

I don’t think I have anything that eat pods. I have a clown, rabbit fish, a few anthias, a few chromis, and a lawnmower blenny. I don’t have a sand bed so I don’t have any wrasse. Anything besides wrasse that eat pods?

Not all Wrasse's need a sand bed. There are some that will sleep in the rocks. I have a Red Fairy Wrasse that goes into the same rock every night and lays down and doesn't move.

It’s hard to find certain fish in my area though. I might be limited to a melanurus or the dreaded six-line. I think a melanurus needs sand and a six-line might disrupt the peace, even though it is exceptionally utilitarian with certain pests.

I have both of those... My six-line is a model citizen and honestly, I have no clue where he goes to sleep as he just disappears. My tank is large so that might help limit aggression, or maybe I just got lucky and picked a nice guy? The Melanurus definitely goes into the sand-bed all the time for naps. I have a Blue-stripe cleaner wrasse who is super-cool and he is always flashing around and eating critters.
