What calibration fluid? If it’s not Randy’s DIY calibration solution, id start there. Also, it’s not uncommon for LFS to run incorrect salinity.
i mix my own saltwater, not a clue actually what callibration fluid it is, any reason as to why you ask? just wondering, both mine and the LFS’s readings did match up so i can imagine its pretty spot on
Asking since salinity is commonly overlooked. Refractometers and commercial 35ppm calibration solutions are typically terrible. I’d made a diy calibration solution and verify your salinity. Mine was reading extremely low and glad I didn’t trust it.

Nutrients are also on the high side. How often do you do water changes?
i do weekly water changes, but yeah i agree salinity is and can be overlooked, id point a finger at that if it wasnt for my other corals thriving, i understand some may prefer different salinitys but im certain mine is 1.025, also what nutrients are on the higher side? im not currently dosing anything nor have i ever
Sounds like you’re pretty confident on your salinity, still wouldn’t hurt to verify given how easy it is.

You gave ranges for nitrate and phosphate, both on the higher side.

I also noticed you have leather coral and was wondering if you run any activated carbon?
yeah ill definitely verify the salinity thanks for your concern!, yeah i have a toadstool, theyre actually thriving, but no i dont run any activated carbon

What size is your tank? It looks like your peak lighting period is only 5 hours, any reason why so short? It looks like only the one nano powerhead, does it put out enough water movement through the entire tank? If your having to turkey baste your frags it might be a sign there is not enough flow.
my tank size is 15 gallons, how long should peak lighting be any time frames you could give, i did infact struggle finding reliable lighting schedules,

and yeah i think you may have replied to one of ny previous threads about running 2 powerheads?, i ended up getting the fluval 107, which throws out just about less than my wavemaker so decided to go for that two birds with one stone, better filtration and flow.

fluval 107 is a recent addition so im assuming flow was insufficient before i added so that could be a reason?

My peaks are 10 hours long, even chatgpt suggests 8 hours peak for photosythetic corals.

The rl90 is pretty strong for 15 gallons, I use that same light on a 32 gallon. It might be worth it to rent a par meter in this case, so that you can set your lights correctly. At first I was thinking your light may not be enough but now thinking it might be too strong with it at 90%

any recommendations for schedule? i like deep blues towards the night to actually see the corals glow and as minimal of white as possible, i will also be purchasing own par meter at the end of the week

I do 10am to 10pm on my lights, with one hour ramp up and down.

Mine is on 100% but its a 32 gallon. The par meter will tell you. Me personally I would turn the light down to about 50%-60% until you get the meter.
gonna stick acclimation mode back on, this is my previous schedule,

what percentage for acclimation do you reckon?
