Torch not doing well

Sorry I'm not able to get a clear shot of this but my 24k torch is not opening up and there is a little bit of rotting in the circled area. Any advice on what I should do? I have been battling dinos the last month and have been soding silicates daily, no water changes and my tank looks ugly right now.

Magnesium: 1450
Nitrates: 10

It appears the flesh band is eroding on the lower half, number of possible causes but primary ones are too much linear flow and / or water quality

I would put it in a hydrogen peroxide and sw dip, blast off the decay, and allow the dip to sterilize the coral for a few min

Then place in good lighting and lower flow for healing. A dip product like Coral Infection Elimination is great for situations like this, to prevent / fight off early stages of infection. That torch is able to be saved if you have the right stuff on hand.

What will happen next is the flesh band will continue to erode, thus making an opening between the water and the innards of the coral itself. That is a doorway for everyday bacteria to get inside, and that is how infection begins, and becomes bjd quickly.

Keeping that area clean, and giving good conditions to heal, are the needed steps at this point

The amount in ml is a range, I always go for the high end of the range. This is the amount of 3% hydrogen peroxide to add to 1 liter of saltwater. The duration is 5 min then you simple baste off any slime or loose stuff and return the coral to the display

I've also heard about iodine dips. I do have some at home (10% solution). Any thoughts on this?

Also effective for bacterial issues but will not affect algae or algae films
