Just received a Swamp Thing Tourch today from Reefers Direct's live sale this past weekend. Looks great and great customer service.

Question I have is placement and how much flow. Torch is one of my favorite corals so want to treat hum right.

How does this look...

I have mine about midway up the tank, and in a spot where it gets maybe a little higher than medium flow. Enough to keep it constantly swaying pretty good, but not blasted to the point it closes up. I'd give yours some time to get used to the tank. If it ends up opening nice and wide where you've got it, then I'd leave it...if it's still closed up after maybe a week or so I'd try a different spot in your tank. I'd also keep in mind that torches don't play so nice with others, so they definitely need some space away from others wherever you decide to put it.

Okay he has been in the tank for a week. Been big and extended. Couple hours ago when I got home he was fine. Now he looks like this. Any ideas? Worried as we leave in a day for 4 days away...

Ive noticed with all my coral that sometimes they just suck in with no changes. Then randomly back to normal.

You need to post some pics of it opened up!

Lol can do!

More than likely, just expelling waste...
Nothing to worry about

There did look like a small red strong similar to cyno (but there is none in the tank) coming from within the tenticals but I thought it was tank junk since I had just scrapped the glass.

Dose anything recently? Sometimes my torch will shrink up after I dose some seachem fuel. But the next day he's kicking nice and big. So much I have consider moving him because he puffs up so much. First time it happened I almost three the bottle of fuel I just bought on the trash. Came back the next day and looked at it and liked what I saw.
