So I just got home and fed the fish some frozen brine shrimp.
I noticed a small 'cloud' from one of my acans.
After about an hour two heads on one of my torches looks like this:

And now completely closed.

Is it 'pooping'?
And what was the dust cloud from my acan?

Found this...does it look like this?

I have a torch too. I'd be concerned as well. Maybe poop? Let others chime in tho

Thanks. Does look very similar. Just puzzled that two heads would do this at the same time.
I've never directly fed them, and it all happened within an hour or so.

It's poop. BJD affects the tissue. Now that they are closed up you can see the tissue is fine.

From pictures it looks a lot like 'poop'.
Does it happen so quickly after a feeding? Fed the fish, not the corals.

My torch does that from time to time also...mainly when I feed directly around it...I believe its normal dont worry torch too much.

I dumped my torch, thinking it was BJD. 100 bucks down the drain.

After feeding my tank mysis, one of my torches shriveled up quickly and began to expel a dark string. Everything I have read mentioned its expelling extra nutrients. Is this normal and nothing to worry about or is it a sign I’m stressing it out or over feeding. It has done this once before and bounced back after a day or two but it got me worried. All perimeters are normal range for my tank and a water change was done this past weekend so I’m not thinking it has anything to do with the water, especially since it happened quickly after feeding just now. Somebody school me! :)
