torch receding more after iodine dip

I have had this torch for about a week or two now, and after a bit, I noticed a tad bit of receding on it, so I did an iodine dip with lugols solution 2-3 days ago, and it almost looks like it's receded more then it was before I did the dip, could this just be the dip clearing the infected area out or maybe I used too much iodine. I'll post a before-the-dip pic and an after-the-dip pic. should I do another dip?

I have had the best luck letting the torch sit in a diluted solution of red slime remover and tank water, or similar "antibiotic", for 30 minutes or so, followed by a 10 minute weak iodine solution bath. I am no torch expert, but far as I have experienced, 90% of issues with torches are bacterial. Hopefully someone with more dedicated LPS experience will chime in.

Bacterial most likely. Looks like that torch is a goner. Was it the iodine dip? No. It just didn't stop the issue. Antibiotics work better. Cipro, Kungfu dip. In a pinch amoxicillan from red slime remover.

Are they mounted horizontally? That might be an issue. They are not exposed to bright light from the side. Maybe the tissue got damaged on the side facing upward.
