I came home one day to find my torch corals tenticles not extending. I thought maybe the neighboring torch was bothering it. But they have been side by side and touching for a year at least. I dont know what's going on with my tank it's been up and running for 4yrs, all levels are in range and nothing has changed. We got the tank from a friend a year ago and brought it down from high algea and nitrate levels. I recently noticed what looks like a flat worm, and not sure if it's the cause of this receding. But can I break off the two dead heads in Hope's of reviving the 2 that are still holding on?
PLEASE HELP! I dont want to loose the other 2 heads.

Oh, I would probably think about cutting the affected head off, and fragging/dipping it in hopes that it can still be saved.

Hard to tell from the pic, but the position seems poor for that particular head. If it's not getting enough light, this happens....
I took it off the rock to look at it that's why it's like that but ya I gotta cut the dead off before the other 3 heads die. They arnt doing amazing but they are extending and looking decent.

I have found success with euphyllia by feeding when they seem stressed or if they are new to the tank. Frozen mysis or LRS is what I usually have on hand. I’ll usually feed every few days until they seem healthy with a nice rim of flesh around the skeleton and good color. After that, it’s just light and whatever they get out of the water column while broadcast feeing the tank to keep them healthy.
