there has been some interest but dont know. small parts like this are time consuming to get the beveled edge which will affect price..

Would the way you have the screen built with the screen tabs work if I have a center overflow?

the tabs recess the screen 1/4" below the top of the glass, add that to the thickness of the screen (i dont know what it is off hand). That will be the clearance/gap needed from the top of the overflow to the top of the tank.

so how about a not soo cheery update.. :neutral:

i've been gambling with my fish never QT'ed or anything and i finally got hit. i bought a new one from a new source around town.
everything seemed fine no issues but then it started showing up.. Ich... :squigglemouth:

right now i'm week 4 into the outbreak and have lost...
7 - bartlett's
2 - black snowflakes
3 - long fin cardinals (babies less than an inch)
1 - midas blenny
1 - red mandarin (female)
1 - pearly jawfish

still holding on are..
1 - purple tang
1 - majestic foxface
1 - yellow wrasse
1 - pyle's fairy wrasse
1 - moorish idol
1 - purple firefish
1 - yellow belly hippo

my yellow belly hippo went into the hospital tank this morning. i fear the worst.... he was my unicorn.. and will be missed the most if he doesn't pull trough.....

Sorry to hear as well. I'm fairly confident that the small majority that QT 100% of the time are those that have gone through something like this. I recently had a large outbreak of ich, and QT'd all my fish. I only lost a kole tang, but every single one of the fish came out looking better than when they went in. Although it's tough, I would recomend catching all the fish, treating with copper, keeping the tank fallow for 8 weeks, and then QT everything that goes into your tank from here on out, from fish, to frags, to anything that goes into your tank. Although it was a burden for the first couple of weeks, I soon found the process rewarding.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your yellow belly.

sadly Mr Blue passed yesterday along with the Morish Idol...


dont feel bad for me guys it my fishes that needs it..

cant help but feel like i've failed them...

only 4 left the 2 wrasses; purple tang and majestic foxface... they seem much better than to others and will probably be the survivors..


makes me just want to take out all the fish and slap about 20 chromis in there just to feed the corals and call it a day...

Kevan I think you must have introduce something else to your tank cause my tank goes through ick cycles and I never loose a fish. When I added my white cheeks all my fish got ick from it but non died
