Trachy behavior

Hi all! So about a month ago I added a beautiful trachyphyllia to my tank. He is still vibrant and seems to be doing well, but he inflates and deflates way more frequently than any other lps in my tank. Like hour to hour could be different. Is this normal in your experiences? Or possibly a negative reaction to anything I should consider?

Sometimes he's even more shriveled than this.

Do you ever target feed the Trachyphyllia? Maybe that Cleaner shrimp in the picture has made the connection between the coral and food. Picking at it will definitely make the coral cringe.

Yes, I hate those shrimp, lol, but I can't catch them! I feed my coral about once a week and sit at the tank with a poker fending off the shrimp from my acans, trachy, Lobo and plate corals for about 20 minutes!

Mine usually lays kind of flat like that instead of having that wavy look. It has doubled in size in two years so it must not be a bad thing. I think they do that in more intense lighting.
