I traded some excess frags with a fellow reefer. He traded this to me, but I have not been able to identify it.
Any suggestions on what I can search for?
Could those dark spots be vermetid snails?

TY never seen it.

Sounds like an auto frag system.
If ypu dig em..it's a great thing to have happen. It's a polyp bailout from the coral that causes it to spread...problem is it can spread to areas you don't want it. Probably don't want it popping up around an expensive acro and stinging it to death. But, it doesn't always spread..but it sure can.

The two i have in my tank the LfS love frags of they are always asking for more.
That's because they are hardy sps and sell quick and cheap..I used to take boatloads of xenia to the lfs for trade and they wanted it every time.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
