I am very sorry for your ordeal sounds very subsist to what I went through only you definitely pulled stops I did not. I used cuperamin had no way to test so was going from one tank to the next every day with a while new dose. First time through I tried one week. Then two. Then four. As well as fresh water dips between after the first week.

Trying to give him two to three days in-between things as I don't want to cause symptoms due to stress and think they are disease.

Thank you. The hobby can definitely be brutal at times.

You definitely want to get a copper test when treating with copper. While I highly recommend the Hannah, even an API would be better than nothing. You need to make sure you stay therapeutic during the entire 30 day treatment. That and, especially with coppersafe, the labels aren't always spot on

Yea, I'd definitely give him a break from the baths if it's starting to stress him out like that. I have zero knowledge of that particular medication.

When are the antibiotics due?

I hate my phone... It even autocorrects real words

Always something!

Lost HOB pump, caught that before it got bad. Then on day 27 of copper the infections hit.

Ain't that the truth bro.

Did you have another qt you could xfer them to or are you doing the ABX with copper for the last few days?

I just realized what was going on today. Pulled copper tonight, started NFG.

I'm in the 29.5 day range for copper above 1.5ppm if you include the ramp up.

That's tough dude but at least you were that far along with copper. Hopefully you caught this in time

@HotRocks Sorry to hear you are dealing with such a persistent form of disease.Meds should be here next week I guess since it's already Friday and there has been no sign of them. Curious how the nfg will help in the gram negative situation and why the copper doesn't. Correct me if I'm wrong but gram negative means it can complete it's being cycle with no host right? Sounds like I really need to understand this nfg.

And I agree really need as many Hanna testers as they make don't like working without them especially where copper is concerned. Have lost fish to copper before.

I see now it's a cell wall issue providing immunity to immune system responses and making it very hard to affect with antibiotics.
