Trident NP at 15% off

Hello everyone!

Is the Trident NP still a pass? I see a few websites have it for 15% off and is tempting. At first it seems accuracy was an issue, not sure if this continues.

From what I heard, the Trident NP tests nitrate & phosphate. Phosphate is inaccurate. If you can only rely nitrate (half of the functionality), then the device should be half off to make it worthwhile!

Saltwateraquarium.com was one and BRS also had it.

I went to both, I JUST ordered the standard Trident from SWA.com … but they nor BRS had the NP unit on sale yet…
Ended up going to TSA to cop the NP

Odd. Is still there at SWA.com but the discount shows up in the cart. I found out about it via their email newsletter

Yeah I just went back and looked..NP still list at 650

I have the NP, picked it up shortly after it came out and I enjoy it. I have brought it to test against the LFS and it matches. Every reagent change I recalibrate it. Thus far it has steered me well. There will be a lot of bad comments on it, but squeeky wheels will always be heard.

You may have a valid point. I have my trident and has been great. The trident NP took on heat since day 1

I have only had the Trident NP for 2 weeks but so far so good against Hanna checkers. It's 0.5 above Hanna on No3, and 0.05 above on Po4. Both Hanna and Trident NP went up and down slightly at the same time during the 2 weeks. I don't care much about the exact number as long as it gives me the trend. I'm running about 2.0 No3 and 0.2 Po4 in a fairly new tank.

I'm going to do an ICP test at the end of the year and will find out which number is closer.
