Bought my NP a month ago. Really felt like I was flipping a coin with all the bad reviews. However, both NO3 and PO4 have been really close to Hanna for the first month. Hanna measures about .05 higher consistently, but my last ICP showed Hanna higher also. I have been very happy. No calibration, worked well out of box.

Nervous about my next set of reagents in about a month, but I don’t plan to calibrate unless something goes wrong as I have heard this can be a source of error.

I’ve owned the NP for 9 months now. There were many months I had it offline due to bad readings. Now it’s been reading accurately for more than a month. Here’s what worked:
-software update
-used Hanna values for calibration
-I keep the reagents outside of the trident in front of it. I believe the lines pinch and the trident can’t tell.

Regarding that last point. I actually moved my trident to the mini trident housing so that I don’t have to worry about pinching lines, can easy clean the cuvette, and changing the reagents is easier.

My range has been 5-15 nitrates and ~0.15 nitrates.

Been great for me too. Only issue was when I calibrated with their solution. Once calibrated with Hanna’s then back to normal. Overall, im glad I’m using it. Saved me from doing manual tests, made my life easier. I used to test twice a day but it got to be expensive, so back to once a day. Wish regents were cheaper. My nitrates average 8.0 and Phosphate 0.08. Cheers.

Can we get updates from everyone after going through a couple sets of reagents? Any tips and tricks to share?

Neptune continues to assess and provide updates to both AOS and Trident ACM/NP firmwares. I have not seen any negative side effects after any of the updates (AOS, NP, or when I have done both on the same day). The NP continues to hum along with consistent results. I have calibrated using their solution as well as my manual test results using Hanna kits. Post calibration I do not really run manual checks unless there is a back to back test result anomaly.

Note: I am only sharing my experience who is one out of N. As it relates to software/firmware updates - I have not experienced any issues.
