Does anyone have any experience with the TRIGGER Titanium sump evaporation covers? I love the sump as it is very configurable but the evaporation covers are annoying. If you don’t place them just right when reseating them on the sump chamber it will fall into the water. Or if you apply the slightest pressure, it will fall into the water chamber. First world problem but yet still drives me crazy!

Does anyone have any solution to keep the evaporation lids more secure? I am considering 3d printing some extensions to extend them but was curious if anyone had any experience to share.

Thanks
Bobby

I would print some little tabs and put one each side to keep it from falling in.
Yes, I am thinking of printing a large X that would extend over the edge. I would then secure on top of the cover. This would secure them better.

I actually glued small acrylic rods toothpick size to all 4 corners on top of the lids so they don't fall in and also drilled 1/2" holes in the middle of them to pull them out easier but I only did that to the filter sock and return section as I dont use the 2 covers for the middle sections. I would love to cut a hole out for my skimmer on the one lid so I can use it but just dont trust myself enough to cut it without it breaking would be nice to do the samething for my light on my refugium cover also.

Just note I also covered my lids in Black vinyl wrap then glued them so I could easily remove them if needed atleast the glue wouldn't be permanently bonded to the acrylic.

All good ideas. I eventually printed small rectangles and glued them in the covers slightly over the edges. When placed on the sump, the tabs extend the coverage and allow a more secure fit. I also printed a decorative doorknob (Darth Vader) and glued it to the cover to give me something to easily grab.
