HI all,

Haven't been on here in a long time but im stuck and could use some help. I run/dose the triton method with no water changes.
Yes...i know....dont yell at me....but i haven't tested the alk in my tank in a very long time. everything has been fine, SPS colors, growth all been doing good.

I decided to start another tank and that brought about testing everything again.

I recently discovered my alk was at 5.9 ish. So i started slowly raising the the triton daily dosage but my alk dropped. so lol wellllll i raised it some more and it stays steady around 5.2.

Question is, am i supposed to be lowering the triton dosage or raising it to raise my alk? since its not changing i worried I'm over dosing the triton at this point.
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
JJ

What are you testing with? If it’s Hanna, my tested would usually throw a 5. Something when it was definitely not that. Caused my tank some major issues.
