I added 4 trochus snails yesterday, they were active, fine and dandy.
I wake up this morning and I can only spot two?
I tried my best to find the other two, and my rock work is pretty open so I don’t think they’re in any hidden caves. I read they don’t really burrow. I checked the floor in my bedroom and they’re nowhere to be found…
One of them has been chilling on the glass near the top of the aquarium for the whole day, near the intake (im nuvo 20)
I’m stumped

they're pretty good at hiding up under rocks in crevices, especially during the day. My tanks look devoid of them during the day, and they cover the glass and rocks at night. Trochus snails do not climb out of the water, in my experience, like nerites and sometimes cerith do.

I couldn't keep them in a rimless tank. They would climb out and I would find them all around the tank One of my dogs would hear them hit the floor and grab them. I've even found them in the basement where she took them.

Okay, i feel like a blind man. Turned my whites light to observe my algae and I spot a third one. But… that leaves the fourth. I can’t be this blind?!

My main concern if one does climb out is I potentially might not be able to find it since the tank is in the corner next to my desk, in my 9x9 bedroom and the covered areas not visible to the eye (behind the bed, under…) are a bit cluttered. I guess I’ll give it til night
