Hi, I recently acquired four Tunze 6105's. It clearly states 6105 on the motors. Two have a blue, fixed propeller, with no shaft coming out of the front of the propeller. The other two have a black, moveable propeller, with a shaft that sits in the motor, and protrudes through the front of the propeller, into the front housing. So, the question is, What's the difference? Older vs newer model? which one would be the newest version and why?

Very similar in flow rate and..
Only they give a controller with the new pump
And you have not to buy a main controller to setup
The Flow

Thank You, However, none of the pumps come with a controller. Maybe a model in between??

I was referring to your post here.
It sounded to me like you thought maybe your pumps didn't require a controller

All the 6105's I've had, the props were blue. They were new about 8 years ago.
I had some 6055's that had black props and the shaft stayed in the motor block, probably 12-13 years ago.

Thanks so much for your input. I'm not sure of the evolution, of the 6105, but putting pieces together, I believe the oldest ones, had the black, moveable propeller. Then came the wide flow capable version, with the blue, fixed propeller. After that, and I believe "newest version", are wide flow capable, have the blue fixed propeller, and a controller. I'm hoping when/if Roger chimes in, he will shed some more light on this.
