I am thinking about checking these things out....From the first glimps they look to be awsome. Anybody got any expireance with them yet? The price points for these is a great inticement....I might deffinantly be getting one here soon so I can yank all the power heads out of my tank.

Anybody got anything to tell?

Just got 2 of these bad boys. Arrived today and will install them by this weekend in my 30G SPS tank. Still have to hook up my WavySea with an Eheim 1262. Should be some crazy flow once everything is set. Here are a couple of pix of the units. I will post more pix when they are in the tank.

Yeah, not to mention they use only about 7 watts. Definitely can't beat that. We have enough electricity sucking gadgets as is. It's nice finally getting something that won't triple my electric bill again.

so are you getting the 6025's or the 6045's?

a friend of mine recently got the 6025 and he said it moves a lot of water; i haven't been over there yet to see it in person

I was thinking the 6025 for me at lest one for now, along with my MJ 1200's on my wave maker.....The 6025 is like 17x turn over and the 6045s is like almost 30x for my tank.....I think the 6045 would be a bit much along with my MJs. I don't have but 2 SPS that surf sent me so I don't need to over do it, but these will give me the option of pulling a few other pumps I have out....Or I could pull the 1200s out and keep the Tunze nano powerheads that I have in there also. I really like those too for as small as they are they push quite a bit of water too and the size isn't ostructive.....What I really like is the option to move the direction of the flow. My tank is closed on the sides because of the stand and only has the front and back open which the vortec wouldn't have been very useful. Where these I can place on the back glass and direct it where I want it to go....

I've been tossing the idea around of getting one of these too, but also considering doing a MaxiJet mod. The local reef societies next meeting is about the MJ mods so I will have to wait until after the meeting to decide.

i say do both. the mods are killer, esp with the new shroud they have.

for anything less than a 90 i wouldnt go with the biggest props, unless you are bb.
