I just set up a Tunze Osmolator 3152 nano on my 20 gallon tank and I was manually triggering the sensor by removing water from my tank and a little over 32oz of water needs to be removed in order for it to pump water into my tank. Is this normal and is this okay? I’m just wondering if this is okay because the salinity in my tank will rise up by 1-3 points from 1.026 when that much water is evaporated and I’m wondering if it’s okay for the salinity to rise up and back down to 1.026 on a daily basis or if it’s too much of a swing.

Nevermind, I actually just figured out how to get it to pump more water into my tank without too much water evaporating, all I had to do was raise the sensor out of the water a little bit.
It will readjust the level then to a higher point as the float is now slightly lower than the shut off point. When it triggers to go on it is going to continue until the float hits the shut off. This is the nature of the float switch. There is a set on and off point.

That being said I don't think 1qt of water is going to change the salinity that much as it evaporates from 80 to 79qts. You are removing 1/80th of the water. So you a change of 1.25% 35ppt increases to 35.44ppt or 1.0264sg to 1.0267sg
