I see them too now that the cat is out the bag...

All I have right now is an ornate leopard. Wrasse are one of my favorites and I've planned on getting more just haven't yet... tank seems full with the tang and my clowns, but then again they don't really interact with the wrasse. Its just the Tomini and my female clown that get into it.

I've had MENs before, went fallow on all Monti for a few weeks... long enough for egg cycle to do its thing and adults to starve. Once montis were reintroduced I had no issues. I might go the load up on wrasse method and see if I can just manage. If not I'll dump the few frags I have for now and wait it out.

Yep, I chucked it. Thing was infested. Can't believe I let that get past me... thanks @fishguy242 for the eagle eye. Oh well, at least it's just a frag and seems to be confined to that piece. I looked over the rock and the digi frags. No sign of nudis.. if they pop up on the digis I'll toss them and keep montipora out the tank for 6 weeks.

Well, not much change this week. I tried adjusting the alk a little bit after it was already stable... yeah, I know, I can't leave anything alone. I lowered the dose a little because it kept bouncing up to 8.1, that caused my consumption to surpass my dose and by the time I caught it and got back in front of it, I was at 7.4dKH. It's headed back up so it should settle just fine.

All the corals still look fine so no damage done. I'll leave it alone next time.

Day late dollar short... nobody likes yesterday's sushi.

Nudies popped up again. On the digi frag that was doing well too. Oh well I expected they would. I'll toss all the monti and wait out the egg cycle until they starve.

I ran out of liquid All For Reef mid week, and refilled with powder mixed with RODI. The cost is WAY more effective that way. I don't think I mixed it enough tho, as the KHD is having to work harder to keep alk up. Time to buy some fancy lab equipment... and by fancy lab equipment I mean a magnetic stir plate and a 1000ml beaker.

Except for having nudis, all the corals look great and the tank really seems to have reached that magic maturity level where all the swings and ugly stages go away. I still can't get over this PINK acan.

I don't think leopard wrasse really care for nudies... I did find out he'll eat pellets this week tho.
Ya mine looks for small pods and will eat any food I put in the tank. Possible corris in the future.

This past week has been smooth sailing. I've been continuing to adjust the KHD to maintain my alkalinity, when I switched to the powder there was a slight difference in dose amount. I got new salt in, decided to go with the Tropic Marin Pro Reef since I'm using their dosing chemical and it is pharmaceutical grade salt. I did about a 10 gallon water change with it today, after target feeding with Reef Roids, and all the corals look extremely happy.

I did pick up two new corals. SPS corals... with our increased stability and the success in turning the digi around from almost dead to thriving(before picking up nudies), I felt I could handle the challenge. I bought an ORA Blue Voodoo staghorn and a purple stylophora. I'm not 100% on the placement of the staghorn... it is just to the right of my light and is pretty shaded on the side. It looks pretty happy tho so I'll just see how it does. The stylo went in the place of the little piece of encrusted digi. Looks to be a happy spot for it.

Loving your reefer! If I did my lighting over on my 250 I would want that light! I have 3 primes and really like how clean your light looks over the tank.
Thank you! I've always loved Kessil lights.

I hope everyone's holiday was filled with family and joy.

Sushi Reef is doing very well. Everything continues to look good and alk is falling in line since the salt and parameter shift to 7.5dKH to match the new salt. It's looking like demand has gone up as well, from 10.2ml to at least 10.8ml.

I've come to the decision that I need more fish. Even feeding heavily(for my current fish) my nutrients are low. Adding fish I'll have to be selective in what I get. I have 2 grown ocellaris who can be a bit of a bully to certain species of fish(particularly coral beauty angels), and my tomini is around 4½" now and he will not tolerate another herbivore whatsoever in this tank at least.

The corals are looking BEAUTIFUL. Everything seems really happy and healthy.
